Energy absorbing rubber bumper. Made from Santoprene™ rubber, this bumper provides excellent protection for the UR-Teachpanel if it is accidentally dropped. Santoprene™ is immune to water and most water-based detergents and has “excellent” resistance to most industrial lubricants, coolants and cutting fluids. The bumper is specially moulded to the outer shell of the Teachpanel and has a “stretch-to-fit” installation (similar to a cell phone cover). Protective strips are formed around the rotary switch and E-stop buttons, but these do not impair their function. Access to the USB port (on the right side of the teach panel) is also retained. The Bumber is structured so that it grips well and feels good even when wet or in the presence of lubricants/. The energy-absorbing frame is perforated throughout the grip areas to save weight and reduce surface tension/accumulation of liquids.
